My particular passion is to ensure that families are aware of what they can include during the funeral service, as I believe many families do not realise the amount of autonomy they have to do whatever they want during their funeral service. I sit with you, listen to your memories of your loved one and then draft a personal and bespoke tribute which I will email to you.

You can then make any changes to ensure it is absolutely right on the day. It may be that you would like a non-religious service or one that incorporates faith elements....either way, the service will be reflective, true and absolutely individual. I will provide you with a wonderful ceremony, and you will be given a printed parchment copy of the script of your ceremony as a keepsake.

I will always ensure that I’m dedicated to you and your family should you decide to entrust me with your funeral service. I make a commitment only to deliver a maximum of one funeral service per day, so that my full focus and attention is only on you. I’m always happy to be contacted to discuss what services I can offer and how I can support your family even if you ultimately decide that you do not wish me to conduct the ceremony, there is no obligation.

I’ll come to your home to meet you, and you can invite close friends and family to join the conversation. We’ll chat and you can tell me everything you’d like to share about the person who has died, so I can really understand who they were, the things they enjoyed doing and what mattered to them. I’ll look at photos and mementos and we’ll talk about the atmosphere that you’d like conveyed, and the practical issues which will arise on the day. We’ll agree what contributions to the ceremony you and others might like to make, be it reading a tribute or a poem, lighting candles or placing a card or keepsake on the coffin.

Then I will write a humanist ceremony which is completely personal and unique. It will reflect and celebrate the life of the person who has died. Together we’ll find music, poetry and readings that feel right to you. You will see a draft before the service, and can make any comments and changes that you wish.
